About Farm Tours
We are thrilled to invite groups of all sorts to our urban farm during the growing season.
Hands-on activities or field tours, each visit connects individuals with their food source and
extends our urban food community.
Group Sizes
We host tours for a range of audiences, like schools and youth groups, student organizations, professional organizations, corporate service groups, visiting conference groups, and more. We can accommodate groups as large as 40 people. If you are an individual looking to tour, keep an eye on our social media channels as we post information on open houses throughout the year.
What's In A Tour
Tours start at the Big Muddy Offices with an introduction to our organization and what we do. We'll then walk through our plots and chicken coops as we talk about how the farm operates, how we use sustainable practices, and how we fit into the broad Omaha food system. We'll answer your questions and provide hands-on activities where we can fit them in. Tours typically last around two hours.
